As you know 6th graders have been working on structures so I thought we'd just carry over the theme into art class.  Students have been working on creating a 3-d letter with paper mache.  Many of the same skills they are using to create their structures are helping here in the art room.  There has been a lot of problem solving, group work and big messes.  One of the 6th grade art curriculum components is construction technique and form, looks like not only will the kids master these they will come home with something I hope they are proud of.  Here are a few pictures of our progress.
