The 6th grade is discovering the life and times of Leonardo Da Vinci this week in art class.  We read books, discussed portraits and explored his scientific drawings. We discussed Da Vinci's use of animals to create inventions that have revolutionized our way of life.  After looking at his flying machines inspired by birds, tanks inspired by turtles and snorkel inspired by fish the kids thought of their own animal inspired machines.
