2nd Grade

The entire second grade studied Marc Chagall last week.  The kids listened to the story of Marc's life while they colored their own artwork.  Student's learned what a profile was and drew their own, they added details to the their artwork including their favorite food, a picture of their neighborhood and a drawing of their favorite animal.  All of this was based on Marc Chagall's famous artwork, 'I and the village."

When students were finished they worked on a collaborative mural of their own neighborhood on the art room floor.  It was a very eclectic neighborhood to say the least, we should all be so lucky to have the colorful houses and vast array of wildlife the kids came up with!
