EXCITING news! Kincaid Elementary will have an artist in residence soon.  I am happy to announce that we will have a visiting artist here at Kincaid November 10-14 working with the students.  Local felt artist Lucy Zercher will be creating felted art with the kids for a week here in the art room.  Lucy will be giving a brief history of wool in America, giving demonstrations and teaching each class a different felted wool creation.  This artist in residence is made possible with funding by Alaska Arts and Health PTSA and the Rasmuson Foundation through the Art in Education Fund and is administered, under contract, the Alaska State Council on the Arts.

Parent volunteers are always appreciated, please contact me in the art room for times.
