5th grade paper quilling

5th graders have been learning about the art of paper quilling.  We took a look at beautiful examples of rolled paper artwork from around the world and used it to make an inspired work of art.  There were three rules: you must make it symmetrical, it must be opposite colors and it must be a sun.  With those three rules in mind students created masterpieces.
