Happy Tuesday! Today in art class Mrs. Neff's 3rd and 4th grade artists finished up their Athabaskan baby belts. The students worked on symmetrical designs with fadeless origami paper and drew with white oil pastels to add a little detail. Today was yarn day, we added yarn tassels and learned to braid and coil the rope that holds the baby belt on. A few kids tried their belts on and they seemed to fit, no baby to practice carrying, however that might be for the best as our belts were made of folded construction paper and not moose leather as we discussed.
